Hey it’s 3 pm on Tuesday and I’m blogging here at Hotel Resort’s Coffee Bean in Genting Highlands. Ordered a large Hot Vanilla and feeling super drowsy now probably because of it.

If you’re wondering why I’m here at this odd time of the week, I can only give you a one-word answer – Patrik! Just kidding. Okay, not really. Maybe Patrik AND spontaneity.AND impulsiveness.

So I’m here with Patrik, Adnan and Ameerah. Patrik was just sleeping 2 minutes ago but now he’s awake, but obviously he doesn’t  know that I’m talking about him on my blog right now.

And he just went back to sleep. (Just FYI, he advertised this trip as a ‘can-bring-your-books-there-and-study-and-drink-hot-soup-in-the-cold-weather’ kinda trip. Only when we got here he showed his fangs which he’d been hiding under those braces.

He just wanted to come here for the theme park.

Anyway, sorry about my other website. There seems to be an error which I’m trying to get other people to fix Hope it’ll be up again soon.

MuMeds Black&Red Formal Dinner 2008. Part II

Gah I’m feeling so angsty now I don’t know why but I just feel so short-fused and oily and fat and ugly wth.

Oklah. I know why I’m feeling so angsty la. My stupid amazing domain hasn’t been activated yet. It’s been like how long? At least 60 hours =.= and yes, I am getting very impatient. And I so wanna watch Twilight but everytime I think that they’re charging RM8 at the one and only and not to mention totally rundown cinema here, I feel like killing a teddy bear wth. And I’ve come to the realisation that I’d brought too little clothes back home and that I totally need MORE MORE MORE clothes but I’m like so broke now (actually not really la. I’ve only spent RM50 since I’ve been back.. which has been 2 weeks?? YAY ME!) and MAS and AirAsia are so smart to start the cheap tickets pricing AFTER the Malaysia Mega Sales (which ends on 4 Jan and the travel periods only start on the 5th pffft.). And JetStar only flies to Singapore from Kuching =.=

Enough ranting. I’ll post more photos from the dinner since the page finally loaded NORMALLY after numerous attempts of refreshing the page.

MuMeds Black&Red Formal Dinner 2008. Part I

Han Sheng (Daddy, don’t you feel like a superstar for being mentioned on my blog? ) said that he personally likes my blog the most when I cover events, so here’s an event! A major one, even.

I know I’m a little late but at least I was kind enough to edit all the 100++ photos I took that night before I actually post them up! So say goodbye to your unshaven mustaches, unflattering oily skin and smeared make up because I have removed them all from the photos! Well, the first 10 photos, at the very least. After that I got bored and just played with the contrast of the photos.

Anyway, kudos to the MuMeds committee members for doing such an amazing job from choosing the perfect spot all the way to handpicking the performances on the actual night You guys totally deserve a paragraph on my blog *tries to make them not feel underappreciated wth*

I wonder what would have happened if I had returned my ticket. I would have been AT LEAST RM 65 richer, that’s for sure! And I wouldn’t have had to think of what to wear, not to mention actually LOOKING FOR them which was a chore, trust me! But at the same time, I would have missed the fun of looking for outfits with other people, giving dismissive looks and comments whenever they try something that looks bad (it’s not fun, but I don’t mind doing it ) and the fun of snapping photos with a reason. Oh! Special thanks to Zoe for sort of helping me put my outfit together. And Digi for its MMS service wth.

Okay I’ve typed four paragraphs but I hardly mentioned anything about the dinner. Well, it was organized by our very own Monash University Medicos Society (did I get that right?) and it was held at Bread & Olives at Look Out Point. I’d have taken a photo of the view of nighttime KL had my camera loved the view as much as we did, but truth be told, it didn’t really like it that awfully much. So if you want to envy us even more than you already do, you can Google for the photos yourself.

The theme for the night was Black & Red; semi-formal and ALMOST everyone conformed to it! Which is a totally stunner. But of course there were a few people who tried to stand out from the bunch of obedient creatures but I shall not mention any names *stares at Patrik Ho Ek Seng*.

That Luminescent Crescent In The Dark Night

There are just so many things I want to say.

But I don’t really know where to start.

It sucks when I start thinking of all the consequences.

I want to be my ignorant self again.

To know that imperfection is beautiful.

To know that pessimism is the downfall of one’s self-esteem.

To know that emotions are nothing more than what people project through their actions.

To not search for the hidden message in every little detail.

If only everything could be written on our foreheads.

I don’t think my favourite contestant has EVER EVER EVER EVER won! Not a single one in the 11 cycles I’ve watched!! Ok maybe one (Caridee) but this is so pathetic!

Anyway, normally those who didn’t win seem to be a lot more successful after the show anyway. So I guess it doesn’t really matter if you win or not la.

In case you were hoping that this would FINALLY be a proper update, I’m sorry to disappoint you. I still haven’t gotten my groove back wth so I’m just going to continue talking about things that are not exactly related to myself because I’m crappy but selfless that way wth.

So where shall I continue?? Ooooh! Taylor Swift’s album debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Albums charts and also the World Music Charts and I know this because I stalk music charts =.= I’m still looking for the album here but sadly, none of the shops here sell even her FIRST album! My life is totally sad.

And OHMAHGA (this shall be my signature expression from now on SO REMEMBER THAT!) there’s STARBUCKS OPENED IN MIRI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wth why do I sound so freaking jakun?? I was just thinking to myself the other day how Starbucks would never open a store here because how many people here would actually bother paying 15 bucks for a cup of coffee. But I guess I was wrong. Maybe I should work there and learn how to make their sinfully delicious Signature Hot Chocolate. Yes yes yes *syok sendiri again* maybe I should go check if there’s any vacancy! YAY!

OHMAHGA does anyone out there think Beyonce totally looks like Tyra Banks? If not you should totally watch Beyonce’s performance at the 2008 Europe Music Awards and the last part of the ANTM 11 season finale AT THE SAME TIME! Their outfits totally match and their hairdo look pretty much the same too like OHMAHGA!!! (OHMAHGA how many times did I say totally in this paragraph alone? TOTALLY a lot! like ohmahga!!)

Ohmahga saying ohmahga is totally addictive wth I think I shall stop using wth and just stick with ohmahga don’t you think it’s totally an awesome idea??!!

By the way, I think Beyonce really deserves the fame that she’s garnered over the years because I can’t think of anyone else who is as good an entertainer as she is! She can sing, she can dance (at the same time too!), she can write songs, she’s beautiful (okla this is very subjective but I think she is) and she’s confident but down to earth at the same time. OHMAHGA I’m totally making her sound like a perfect goddess wth. But seriously, I think she’s amazing. No one else can perform ‘Crazy In Love’ live the way she can!

So Slow It’s Almost Stationary

That’s how my life back home is.

Just now I went to the mall and OMG I almost fell asleep because the mall WAS.SO.DEAD! And Popular shrank into half its size and I have totally no idea what happened to the other half. OH! What’s happening to my lovely Miri?! Sigh.

Anyway, don’t bother to text/call my old 016 number. I already terminated it. So now I’m practically numberless. Well, not exactly. I’ll be numberless until STUPID MAXIS DECIDES TO ACTIVATE MY NEW ONE!!! But I totally love my new number There are two 0′s, two 1′s, two 2′s, two 8′s and two 9′s!!! Isn’t that so cool??!! *syok sendiri wth*

This. Or That. And What I Like About You.

I’m a jumbled up piece of negative emotions now.

There’s frustration, sadness, doubt and fear running through my veins and I’m not sure which one to attend to first.

I guess I could either burst out into a bout of emotions and start picking up the pieces from there. Or I could compress all my negative emotions into a thunderingly loud scream to be thrown out of the window and start focusing on just the positive emotions.

For me, I think the choice is quite obvious. But it’s easier said than done.

But I’ll try anyway.

So I’m in uni again. Walked all the way here to use the internet. I’m the ONLY PERSON on the 2nd floor at the moment and it feels AWESOME! Because the internet is much faster now! And there’s no one to distract me or to make me feel uncomfortable/self-conscious when I’m browsing through the silly photos on my camera.

I browsed through most of my friends’ blogs which I normally read and sad to say, I HAVEN’T MISSED MUCH! Please update more often, okay? Went to Ka Mann’s blog and found this post which is dedicated to me! So sweet of you, Ka Mann! It totally made my day better.

Since I know how good it feels when people say nice things about you in their blogs, I shall start doing the same la. How bout 3/4 people in each blog post?

I shall start off with the people I last saw la. So don’t be offended if your name doesn’t appear in this post. It doesn’t mean you mean any less to me

NICHOLAS. Okay this isn’t your best photo. AT ALL. But errr.. I’m trying to post new photos onto my blog so I’ll just use this one la. SAMANTHA. BFF! You’re probably thinking why the heck did I choose this photo out of the many we have but I think this one is the most eye-catching and jaw dropping photo (not counting your fabulous jumpshots, of course ) and that’s one of the things I like about us being BFFae’s. It’s the fact that we stun other people so much it’s almost unbearable to watch sometimes. It’s totally awesome how we can say things that other people can never understand and do silly things that only the two of us do not think we’re too cool to do. Which makes us so much cooler than everyone else! Woohoo! And I’m actually really glad that the sales at Summit sucked because I just realised I’ve been spending too much on shopping this month! I think I should shred my credit card into 50 million pieces or sth. But at the same time, you can’t really blame me because I’m a hanger with awesome fashion sense wth.

SARAH. I like the sweet ‘thank you’ and ‘are you ok’ messages you always send me in the middle of the night although I’m not a Maxis user. *glares at Nick* And I like the fact that you always say nice things about other people and ACTUALLY MEAN IT. And I like the fact that you’re always sensitive enough to sense that something’s not right and try to make everything right. Sorry I can’t accompany you to go shopping for MORE dresses but you never buy the dresses which I picked for you which actually look good on you ANYWAY.

Retail Therapy Woohoo

Rain rain, go away. Come again another day. Like when my friends try to organise another outdoor event without me muahahahahahaha *evil grin*

I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 weeks since I last blogged! It’s like so long ago I don’t think I even remember how to actually blog wth. And I can’t remember when was the last time I actually came online. I guess I’m a living, breathing, walking, talking, sleeping, eating, starving, freezing and all alone proof that life without internet access really is quite bearable and isn’t lethal.

Life without my laptop is quite sad but I still don’t seem to be spending my time doing anything more productive to replace the nights where I’d usually go online. Now instead of surfing the net and checking music charts wth (but I’m kinda addicted to it) I’d spend my nights with my earphones on while staring blankly into the space.

Tonight will probably be the first night that I won’t be having dinner with anyone. I’m kinda looking forward to it but not exactly because the last time it happened I had salted plum (which I bought for myself. woe is me ) for dinner wth because I thought I would finally sleep early (probably by 10) but I ended up sleeping at 1 am wth.

I have LOADS of photos to post up but actually there isn’t much of a point to do so since I think almost everyone has seen the photos. But as sort of a backup, I shall post them up anyway.

Most of the photos are from the day after the written exam. Went to Bangsar with BFFAE, EVONNEBABE, JO, STELLASIS AND PAT and then to MidValley because most of us needed to look for outfits for the MuMeds Formal Dinner. I think I came back with the most stuff la but I bet you’re not surprised anyway. Nyeh. It’s not my fault that I’m not too picky with the outfits I buy and that I wear the oddest sizes which are normally leftovers in those really great sales. Bleh.

Before that, I finally have an awesome group jump shot!

And to top the awesomeness of it all, it was the first snap of the camera! I’ve always had faith in Wai Beng’s skills in capturing jumpshots.

Bangsar really isn’t my favourite place la because it’s so sexist wth. Only like 1 in 1002489238 shops sell guys’ clothing and they kinda suck. But because we had nothing better to do, we snapped photos!!

OMG I look so… fat in this photo. Looks as if I have a beer belly or something which I don’t (I hope). should have tucked in the shirt properly before I took the shot. I love the shirt btw. It’s just a simple black shirt but it had really colourful buttons on it! But it was too expensive

Since we couldn’t find anything in Bangsar, we went to MidValley after that to continue searching for clothes. I think I’m in love with this shop called Noir now. I’ve always wanted a samfoo and this shop has really nice ones. But they don’t really fit me. And they’re expensive!

I thought this black one looked really nice And there’s actually a lot of details on it but my hands were too shaky to take a clearer photo. It was RM 170 hmmmmmmmmmm but I really like it…

The white one was 40 bucks cheaper or so and probably half the thickness. With nothing sewn on it. I think.

Trench coat which costs like RM 699 wth can buy handphone already.. or pay for the instalment of a car?

Hahaha Pat wanted to give it a go at this taking-photos-in-fitting-rooms-and-not-buy-anything thing and he took FOREVER!!! He said this was his 10th attempt or sth. But looks not bad la.

I actually quite like this shirt from British India.

Then suddenly this voice in my head reminded me of how people keep rolling their eyes at my poserness so I just stoned =.= But seriously, I just got self-conscious all of a sudden.

This was something I planned to wear to the dinner. Planned to wear red suspenders, red tie and red belt. Had the image in my head but apparently it wasn’t too practical And the fact that the tie is almost the same width as the suspenders made it look even weirder la. Anyway, I didn’t wear most of the things in the end. I just tried them on to see how they look together.

This is me after the dinner. So yeah, in the end it’s ALMOST the same. But I liked this look better :p
